Interview: Sherri Rabinowitz, author Different is Beautiful

Today we’re talking with Sherri Rabinowitz, author of Different is Beautiful, a newly released book on anti-bullying. Sherri was kind enough to answer a ton of questions about herself, and shares the cover and back cover of her novel. So, without further ado, let’s meet Sherri!

o       What’s a typical day like for you?
Hmmm, On a non-show day; I get up, wash up, start my computer up, go feed my cat (she is demanding it by then.) Eat my breakfast, write, answer emails, work on Chatting With Sherri and Sherri’s Playhouse, then lunch, then I do errands, work out, then I come home, write, answer emails and Facebook messages, then I eat dinner, watch some TV, then answer emails, write in my diary and go to sleep.
o       What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?
My Books and My Radio Show
o       Do you have any collections?
Yes, I have large book collection, A good sized DVD collection, I collect, movie poster cards, autographed pictures, movie stills…
o       What are your hobbies?
I love to swim, dance, yoga, singing.
o       Are there any skills you’d like to learn?
Yes, to speak another language. Never have been able to really learn one well.
o       What’s your favorite word?
o       What’s your least favorite word?
o       What sound do you love?
My cat purring.
o       What sound do you hate?
Leaf blowers.
o       What’s your favorite curse word?
I use ‘Shit’ the most but I love the English curse word, ‘Bloody’.
o       What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
A pilot.
o       What profession would you not like to do?
Garbage Collector.

Yes, I have my show Chatting With Sherri.
o       If you were a book, which book would you be – and why?
Harry Potter, I would love to live in that world after the Dark Lord was defeated.
o       If you were a song, which song would you be – and why?
‘Close To You’ by The Carpenters.
o       Have you heard a song that reminds you of someone today? If so, what was it and why?
‘Sing, Sing, Sing’, from Benny Goodman Reminds me of my Dad; he loved swing.

Sherri Rabinowitz and Anja Gruber has found a unique way to encourage self-esteem in little ones while helping them develop a sense of appreciation and respect for everyone and everything in the world around them. I am working on a memoir.
